When I left off, we were in Twillingate last Tuesday. That night, we had a “dinner theatre” booked. VERY reasonable prices for the food. Gerard was reaching under the table for something. I caught him.
We both had lobster and mussels. Not bad for $47, all in - complete dinner and show. The other offerings were $37 (cod, salmon or chicken).

The entertainment was a fun mix of songs and skits. These were the performers. Earlier, they had helped serve dinner.

This was one of the funny skits. They had some good ones.

This guy was VERY talented. He played 18 different instruments, and working on the 19th. This is the Ugly Stick, which is a percussion instrument in Newfoundland.

He was Trump in one of the skits. He did a great impersonation. Maybe not Alex Baldwin, but close!

The next day (Wednesday) was much nicer in terms of “not raining”. But it was still cold. Didn’t stop us from doing some hiking, and John got his drone going. We went up to the lighthouse and did some trails along there. Absolutely beautiful area.
We went out to a place called “Nanny’s Hole”.
Just a few shots of the area.

John got his drone going, but alas, it crashed into the side of a cliff.

We went down to get it as it was in an area where we could get down. And, it just happened that this nice young man from Calgary appeared on the scene and wanted to help. He was a rock climber. Go figure. He had the drone in hand before you could say “where’s my drone”? It had fallen into the large rocks below, and the camera and battery were missing. So we speculated they still had to be up the cliff about where it crashed. He scrambled up and found them in no time. So, repairs are needed, but they’re doable. Needless to say, John isn’t flying his drone right now.
Loved the hike.
We carried on and did some more hiking along the coast. This was our last day in Twillingate. We were headed for points east in the morning.
