Connecticut - our 49th State

I don’t know when Connecticut adopted the Constitution of the U.S., but it was our 49th State.  We’re at a very nice RV park on a river between Clinton and Madison, CT, about 45 minutes or so east of New Haven.  Our original plans were to go to New Haven to check it out and see Yale University, but after yesterday’s driving fiasco, we were happy to just do a short little drive of this area, grab a few things at the store (not to mention a new leash for Tibby), and call it a day.

This is a pretty area along the north side of Long Island Sound.  We drove around Clinton, and these “cottages” were pretty typical.  These were a couple of the smaller ones.  There were some biggies.

All aluminum or wood-clad houses along the shore.  You can barely see Long Island in the background.

Anyway, not a very exciting day, but relaxing.  Tomorrow we’re off to our 50th State!

P.S.  Tibby loves his new leash.
